Our Client	A global engineering and project delivery firm specializing in mining energy and infrastructure projects worldwide.
Location	Toronto
Position Description	The Network Design Engineer will join a project delivery team designing communications network infrastructure across mining energy and infrastructure projects. The role covers network architecture topology and cabling design from concept through detailed design and construction support including structured cabling LAN/WAN/WLAN/SD-WAN fibre optic and wireless communications and integration with CCTV access control and emergency communication systems. Responsibilities include preparing engineering drawings specifications and design reports conducting design reviews and supporting testing commissioning and vendor submission reviews.
Qualifications	Bachelors degree in Information Technology Telecommunications Electrical/Computer Engineering or related discipline 5 years of experience in ICT engineering or ICT systems design Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking Ethernet fibre optic systems routing/switching and cybersecurity principles Experience designing enterprise and infrastructure ICT systems including wireless CCTV security and server room infrastructure Design/engineering experience in heavy industries such as energy infrastructure or mining and metals
