PROCESS/ACCOUNTABILITY SUMMARY:
The role of National Product Manager is responsible for identifying educating training and supporting commercial kitchen consultants dealer designers and internal teams to influence their preference for RATIONAL products and services. The National Product Manager collaborates closely with the sales technical and marketing teams to provide technical and competitive information to support the RATIONAL Canada sales process. The National Product Manager will work closely with counterparts based in Germany and North America on new product launches and ongoing addition they will maintain technical information on our software platforms and manage the store front to grow our sales channel. This position will play a central role in the execution of RATIONAL Canadas growth strategy.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  1. Responsible for ensuring all country and province certifications are obtained and valid
  2. Interictally understand the iCombi iVario and iHexagon product lines along with ConnectedCooking.
  3. Increase the number of projects/organizations that specify RATIONAL as a preferred brand.
  4. Expand and improve relationships with influential commercial kitchen consultants dealer designers and kitchen planners through networking presentations training programs and participation in industry groups/associations.
  5. Provide ongoing education training information and support to consultants on RATIONAL products; become a known trusted and visible asset for this audience.
  6. Improve ConnectedCooking registrations and online units.
  7. The primary resource for installations design and escalation situations nationally
  8. Work closely with the Marketing team on market analysis.
  9. Position RATIONAL as a thought leader innovator resource and best-in-class manufacturer.
  10. Provide ongoing RATIONAL product education training support and competitive intelligence to equip RATIONAL sales process to interface with consultants and dealer designers; especially during new product launches
  11. Develop and implement consultant/dealer designer business plans in conjunction with sales teams.
  12. Provide in the field assistance to advance relationships with local consultants/dealer designers.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage relations with consultants dealer designers and kitchen planners
  • Manage relations across processes

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelors degree in engineering/business
  • 5 - 7 years of previous sales sales management or business development experience
  • 2 - 3 years supervisory experience
  • Experience with key account management a benefit
  • Skilled in the presentation of technically sophisticated manufactured goods
  • Excellent computer skills (Outlook SalesForce (or other CRM system) Word Excel PowerPoint and Map Point)

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
  • Ability to speak read write understand English and French.
  • Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers clients customers and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • At least 60% travel required typically including continuous overnight stays
  • Occasional international travel
