McGill Universitys School of Continuing Studies is seeking enthusiastic and responsible Monitors to support international adult learners participating in offsite activities connected to YCSB 215: Global Aviation Leadership & Strategy. These activities include aviationrelated site visits experiential workshops and cultural outings across Montreal.
Hourly rate: $18 (up to 25 hours total)
Hiring dates: June 22 2026 to June 26 2026
Role Overview
Monitors play a key role in ensuring that participants are engaged supported and safe throughout the program. Each monitor will be assigned a group of learners and will guide them through scheduled activities encourage meaningful participation and help maintain a respectful and organized learning environment.
Responsibilities
Accompany groups to aviationrelated site visits workshops laboratories classrooms and cultural activities
Ensure adherence to protocols including punctuality safety guidelines and respectful conduct
Facilitate smallgroup discussions following selected activities
Support collaborative work such as group projects and presentations
Encourage engagement with course themes and daily learning
Assist with logistics including transitions between activities
Serve as an approachable point of contact for participants during excursions and program events
Qualifications
Current student or recent graduate (McGill University preferred)
Fluent in English
Previous experience as a monitor or group leader (preferable)
Comfortable engaging with adult learners from diverse cultural backgrounds
Strong communication organization and interpersonal skills
Interest or background in aviation leadership is an asset
