Reporting to the Executive Director the Member Engagement & Projects role is responsible for delivering member-focused programs funded projects and strategic initiatives that advance ABIEs mandate and priorities. The role serves as a key liaison for member post-secondary institutions and external stakeholders ensuring exceptional service delivery strong relationship management and successful execution of grants scholarships and revenue-generating initiatives.
This position plays a key role in strengthening member engagement expanding partnerships and enhancing ABIEs products and services. Working in a fast-paced collaborative environment the incumbent leverages data-driven insights project management expertise and stakeholder engagement strategies to support organizational growth and the advancement of international education in Alberta. Success in the role requires business acumen sound judgment diplomacy cultural awareness and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships across local and global networks. (ABIE as a small team is looking for an individual with a high-level of flexibility commitment and energy to advance our collective priorities.)
- Support the execution of ABIEs strategic and operational plans ensuring alignment with organizational goals and performance measures (KPIs).
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the Executive Director on member stakeholder and sector-related priorities and issues.
- Collaborate on leading member engagement initiatives including meetings consultations campus visits networking activities and advisory groups
- Develop deliver and evaluate member programs services events capacity-building initiatives and international education resources.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Alberta post-secondary institutions government partners and international stakeholders.
- Identify and promote partnership funding and international engagement opportunities that benefit members and advance Albertas international education objectives.
- Represent ABIE at regional national and international meetings conferences trade events and partner engagements.
- Coordinate and oversee inbound and outbound delegations study tours conferences and signature events.
- Develop business cases grant proposals reports and communications that support organizational growth and sustainability.
- Monitor program performance analyze data and provide recommendations to enhance member value service offerings and strategic priorities.
- Manage project budgets expenditures and resources while ensuring operational effectiveness and accountability.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to support successful project and program delivery.
- Collaborate on governance policy interpretation process improvement marketing and communications initiatives.
- Research and cultivate local and international partnerships that support innovation diversification and internationalization efforts.
- Foster a collaborative inclusive and high-performing organizational culture.
- Travel domestically and internationally and work across multiple time zones as required to support member and stakeholder engagement.
- Bachelors degree in Higher education international education or policy
- Masters degree in higher education international education or policy is a benefit
