Job Summary
Summary: The medical office assistant supports clinical operations within the department by assisting physicians nurse practitioners and nursing staff with both patient care and administrative tasks. This role involves coordinating patient flow preparing exam rooms and equipment and contributing to routine clinical procedures. The assistant balances multiple responsibilities while maintaining organization across clinical and clerical functions. Key responsibilities include patient registration appointment coordination and medical billing activities alongside basic clinical support duties. Work is performed independently under general supervision with guidance from clinical staff for more complex matters. This position contributes to a welcoming and efficient healthcare environment for students.
