- Grade 12 plus an office administration or Medical Office Assistant Training
Licenses
- No
Competencies
- Experience in medical electronic record software Accuro would be an asset
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment be organized and multitask
- Efficient computer and telephone reception skills are required
- Ability to always maintain confidentiality with discretion and professionalism
- Be flexible with hours of work and able to come in on short notice
- Have a positive attitude in creating a supportive team work environment
Knowledge and Abilities
Answering telephones in a pleasant and compassionate manner
Scheduling patients in for appointments and related testing
Distribution of referrals labs and faxes electronically in a timely manner
Prepare and clean exam rooms
Coordinate and manage referrals and follow up appointments
Flexibility to cover for office staff.
