Mechanical Designer (English version)

The Mechanical Designer challenge in a few words

Within this role you will coordinate the mechanical aspects of development specialized tools projects by:

• Following up with internal technical leaders managers and other disciplines designers;
• Manage suppliers on requirements and validation.

Your contribution in this role:

• Prepare the detailed specifications of the design of mechanical assemblies describe and justify the technical choices through simulations calculations and test models;
• Produce 3D models fabrication and assembly drawings as well as corresponding BOMs;
• Take into account constraints such as strength of materials thermal dissipation manufacturability maintainability and testability;
• Build and test prototypes when needed;
• Support qualification tests;
• Support the integration of hardware and software;
• Apply development processes.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate in a few words

Degree: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Mechatronics Engineering or an equivalent field.

Technical Experience

• 2 to 5 years of experience in the design of mechanical and/or automated applications.
• Strong proficiency with SolidWorks 3D.

Assets

• Experience with simulation using SolidWorks Simulation.
• Experience designing systems related to analog and/or digital electronics.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks Electrical.
