We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Material Handler / Forklift Operator to support daily warehouse and production operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for material movement forklift operation inventory handling and ensuring raw materials are properly supplied to production while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.
Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts safely and follow all workplace safety procedures
Supply correct raw materials and regrind to machines as required
Ensure scrap materials and runners are properly separated and stored
Remove and organize empty Gaylords and maintain designated storage areas
Maintain cleanliness around machines material loading areas and warehouse locations
Follow FIFO (First In First Out) procedures for material handling
Ensure hoppers and dryers are properly covered and identified with correct material tags
Move inspected finished products to designated warehouse locations
Return unused materials to inventory storage areas
Assist with material changes and machine changeovers to minimize waste
Perform daily forklift inspections and ensure equipment is properly charged and maintained
Wear all required PPE including safety shoes gloves glasses masks and hearing protection
Report low inventory levels or operational issues to the supervisor immediately
Perform additional duties assigned by the Team Leader or Supervisor
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing or material handling preferred
Valid Forklift License required
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience in plastics manufacturing is an asset
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
