The Marketing Coordinator is a key member of the Shopper Engagement team and plays an integral role in coordinating the planning execution and operational delivery of marketing initiatives across the organization. The role manages project timelines coordinates cross-functional stakeholders supports budget administration and oversees key marketing processes that enable consistent execution across the NSLCs 107 retail locations and brand marketing campaigns.
Working closely with internal teams external agencies and vendor partners the Marketing Coordinator supports the delivery of shopper-facing and brand -focused marketing initiatives including promotional programs retail marketing materials internal communications digital promotional assets and events. The successful candidate is highly organized proactive solutions-oriented and works well independently as well as part of a team. They have the ability to manage competing priorities build strong relationships and ensure projects are delivered accurately and on schedule.
This is a term position for approximately 12-months.

Essential Responsibilities
- Lead project coordination and workflow management for the NSLC Marketing & Promotions team developing project timelines identifying risks and coordinating with internal stakeholders agencies and external partners to ensure successful delivery of marketing initiatives.
- Support execution and rollout of shopper and brand marketing initiatives in-store including promotional signage display contests and tools under the guidance of the Trade and Brand marketing teams.
- Lead the coordination of the NSLCs retail marketing production and distribution programs serving as the primary liaison with our print and production partners. Manage production schedules inventory levels print specifications distribution requirements and an annual budget of approximately $550000 to support consistent execution across 107 retail locations and Tier 1 agency stores.
- Develop and maintain NSLCs Retail Execution Guide determining print quantities asset allocations and distribution requirements across nine annual promotional periods. Coordinate supporting digital flyer production to ensure alignment with promotional and merchandising strategies.
- Coordinate the annual development and production of the NSLCs Programs Guide including project planning stakeholder engagement milestone management content consolidation and print production across multiple business units.
- Support creative and production brief development including leading the drafts of smallscale briefs coordinating project kick-offs managing project follow-up and proofing marketing materials to ensure accuracy quality and alignment with business objectives (signage presentations Execution Guides marketing briefs and print materials).
- Manage same-day email and liaise ticket requests from store teams internal team members and partners providing support and solutions as required.
- Organize marketing materials and maintain a centralized library of files and assets to ensure easy access and effective use by the team.
- Coordinate advertising promotional item requests and sponsorship deliverables with a focus on achieving marketing and business objectives.
- Develop internal communication pieces to inform NSLC store teams about upcoming marketing programs via internal news and execution notes.
- Support event coordination and annual gifting initiatives including booking logistics ordering materials invitations managing registrations and pre/on-site/post duties under the guidance of the Marketing Specialists.
- Coordinate invoice processing budget tracking and financial reporting activities to support effective management of marketing expenditures and ensure compliance with established financial process.
- Manage and coordinate the procurement and ordering of suppliers and materials required to support the Shopper Engagement team.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Visit (NSLC and non-NSLC) retail locations a minimum of 6 times a year with Marketing Manager to observe and assess the shopping environment identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in the development and achievement of annual business unit plans objectives and budget; achieve individual objectives as assigned.
- Proactively identify opportunities initiating and implementing new ideas to improve our current systems and procedures within marketing.
- Demonstrate commitment to the NSLCs service standards and our values.
- Actively participate in the NSLC performance management activities.
- Demonstrate commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Some travel and weekend work may be required with this role.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
As a qualified candidate you will have:
- Undergraduate degree or diploma with an emphasis in Business Marketing Communications or related fields.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a Sales Marketing or Communications role.
As the ideal candidate you will also have:
- Related experience working in a fast-moving consumer packaged goods industry with retail or service experience preferred.
- Experience working in a project management capacity is considered an asset.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
