What youll do
Responsibilities

Acadia University is looking for an experienced financial professional to join our Financial Services team as the Manager Revenue and Ancillary Services.

Reporting to the Executive Director Financial Services this role is responsible for overseeing key revenue-related activities supporting financial reporting and analysis managing financial systems and helping improve financial processes across the University.

In this position you will:

  • Lead the Universitys receivable and revenue-related operations.
  • Provide financial analysis forecasting and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Support and enhance the Universitys financial systems and reporting tools.
  • Management of modules within the Finance and Enterprise Resource Planning System (the ERP System) including the maintenance and testing of changes to this and other software that interfaces with the ERP System.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and help coordinate the annual audit process.
  • Develop and maintain strong financial controls policies and procedures.
  • Partner with departments across campus to improve processes and support operational initiatives.
  • Provide financial guidance and analysis related to ancillary services and other revenue-generating activities.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining accounting financial analysis systems management and process improvement. Youll work closely with leaders across the University helping them understand financial information identify opportunities and make informed decisions.

What youll need
Qualifications
  • We are seeking candidates who hold an undergraduate degree in accounting and possess a CPA (Certified Professional Accountant) designation.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and Fund Accounting.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience including staff supervision coaching and performance management.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting budgeting internal controls and accounting principles.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and complex financial databases.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial audiences.
