Job Description
Our Colleague Capabilities and Enablement team is embarking on a significant transformational change and investment evolving our Learning ecosystem and colleague experience journey for Canadian Retail Banking This new and exciting program Branch Banking Academy focuses on instilling a culture of learning inspiring and motivating colleagues by connecting learning to career growth addressing operational barriers and ensuring colleagues can be customer ready faster and more confident to deliver exceptional experiences.

Reporting to the SM Career Growth and Development the Manager Leadership Capability will play an essential role in designing the career ecosystems with predictive pathways to develop both skills and careers via Branch Banking Academy. Responsible for the design and execution of onboarding and continuous learning for all people manager roles with a focus on certification and assessment and the build of operations training curriculum for all roles in branch banking.

Key Responsibilities

The general accountabilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:

Lead formal learning and development programs

• Demonstrate curiosity in understanding learning theories while applying tangible and tactical operational experience rooted in business realities
• Acts as Pod Lead for ideation and development of training programs for People Manager (BM ABM MCE and DVP) roles
• Collaborate with product journey teams to develop topical and targeted training to support Branch Banking colleagues
• Lead SME engagement through end-to-end development of training programs and engage key stakeholders
• Support achievement of key milestones and delivery timelines in partnership with Learning and Development partners project managers and external vendors
• Act as SME for Dry Runs and Train the Trainer Sessions to support facilitation team
• Oversee established key milestones timing/sequencing risk assessment & change management plan for learning and development workstream in partnership with learning project managers and vendors
• Ability to develop innovative engaging and impactful learning experiences using a variety of modalities including presentations (supporting virtual instruction led training) role plays observational coaching job aids video and infographic

Qualifications & Experience:

• Excellent stakeholder management skills with a collaborative approach to cross-functional partnership
• Data-driven mindset with experience using metrics and insights to improve programs and outcomes.
• Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills across all levels including Senior Executive audiences
• Driven to win with a history of making an impact and delivering superior results in both the short and long term
• Analytical thinker with an ability to identify and execute on optimization/innovation opportunities
• Ability to connect strategy to effective execution implementation and evaluation of initiatives to ensure effective completion
• Ability to act decisively while working collaboratively and building impactful relationships across teams and functions
• Strong organizational awareness with an ability to influence outside of a direct reporting relationship by balancing viewpoints of various stakeholders
