Job Summary
Position:Manager Information Technology & Data Management (Part-time Contract)
Reports to:Reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
Location:To effectively support the team and organizational needs this position requires in-office attendance a minimum of one (1) day per week preferably on Wednesdays. The Lung Health Foundation is based in Toronto.
Salary range: $50.00 - $55.00 / hour (up to 20 hours per week)
Notes: This is a temporary 6-month (approx.) contract position. This role does not include employee benefits; however the selected candidate may choose between receiving 6% vacation pay or 15 days of paid vacation.

POSITION OVERVIEW
This role ensures that LHFs technology and data platforms are secure reliable scalable and aligned with the organizations mission strategic priorities and day-to-day operations.
As LHF expands its ability to collect manage and use data from programs partners donors clients and audiences this role will strengthen the organizations data governance privacy and analytics practices with particular attention to the responsible stewardship of health-related data.
Working collaboratively with internal teams senior leadership and LHFs managed service provider the Manager supports strong IT operations effective systems administration sound data practices and improved organizational capacity for data-informed planning reporting decision-making and impact measurement.
RESPONSIBILITES
Overview of Vendor Relationship (BIT)
The Manager Information Technology & Data Management works closely with LHFs managed service provider BIT which supports technical onboarding Microsoft 365 setup end-user help desk support device configuration basic hardware troubleshooting and management of LHFs phone system.
While BIT provides day-to-day managed IT services this role provides strategic leadership and organizational oversight for internal systems data governance cybersecurity practices Salesforce administration IT policies vendor coordination and staff training.
Data Management
- Manage organizational data systems including CRM client donor and program databases as well as software platforms used across the organization ensuring data is accurate secure accessible and used consistently.
Salesforce Infrastructure Reporting & Integration
- Lead the continued development of LHFs Salesforce infrastructure including system architecture workflow configuration dashboards reporting tools and ongoing maintenance to support planning performance tracking decision-making and impact measurement.
- Oversee Salesforce data mapping structures integrations and reporting processes to support reliable data flow consistent reporting and effective use across teams.
- Partner with internal teams to identify Salesforce needs improve user adoption strengthen documentation and support effective consistent use of the platform.
- Maintain Salesforce data integrity through clear governance quality controls documentation and alignment between Salesforce and connected systems.
IT Operations & Infrastructure Management
- Oversee vendor-supported maintenance performance and security of LHFs hardware software networks cloud services and related technology infrastructure.
- Coordinate with BIT on technical onboarding user account setup device configuration and ongoing IT support needs.
- Maintain internal IT documentation asset tracking and inventory management processes while managing vendor relationships contracts and service-level agreements for systems supporting IT and data operations.
- Support reliable secure and cost-effective IT operations including device management telephony help desk coordination systems support and escalation of service issues as needed.
Cybersecurity Privacy & Risk Management
- Oversee IT security protocols disaster recovery business continuity planning and related risk management activities in collaboration with BIT and internal stakeholders.
- Support compliance with applicable health data privacy and security requirements including PHIPA as well as relevant nonprofit regulatory obligations.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and lead cybersecurity awareness training across the organization.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Partner with teams across the organization to improve digital literacy and data fluency.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on technology data cybersecurity privacy and health data management considerations related to organizational planning and execution.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Data Management or related field (Masters degree preferred).
- 6 years of progressive IT data or digital leadership experience preferably in a nonprofit healthcare research or other mission-driven environment.
- Experience establishing and/or managing data systems with strong governance requirements including health data research data CRM platforms donor databases or client service systems; experience working with health databases such as CIHI is considered a strong asset.
- Demonstrated experience with cloud environments cybersecurity frameworks and enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of PHIPA requirements and experience working with data systems and governance practices that support health privacy compliance.
Technical Skills
- Deep expertise in Salesforce administration architecture configuration reporting data structures workflows integrations user roles and system scalability.
- Strong knowledge of network administration cloud platforms (Microsoft 365 AWS) and enterprise security practices.
- Proficiency in data management SQL databases analytics tools and data governance frameworks.
- Familiarity with API integrations automation tools and low-code/no-code platforms.
- Experience overseeing vendor-led implementation of systems and data platforms.
