About the role.
The Global Portfolio Manager Snacking is responsible for leading the end-to-end global product portfolio strategy and governance across McCains Snacking business. This role balances short-term commercial priorities with long-term innovation and growth opportunities to deliver a scalable profitable and consumer-relevant portfolio. Partnering closely with regional leadership innovation marketing finance supply chain and commercial teams the role ensures portfolio decisions drive customer consumer category and business performance while enabling speed to market and global scale.
What youll be doing.
Portfolio Strategy & Planning
  • Develop and lead theglobalportfolio strategy aligned to overall commercial and brandobjectivesincludingportfolio architectureandtiering strategies
  • Execute the strategybyidentifyingand leadingtheglobal scaling of winning/power product SKUs
  • Identifycategory and portfolio opportunities based on consumermarketand competitor insight
  • Leadtheportfoliolifecycle across regions including therationalization processmanaging timelinesdatacollectionand regional inputs
  • Maintain global SKU database and dashboards tracking key metrics such as SKU count velocity profitability and scalability
  • Model portfolio scenarios (SKU cuts additions mix shifts) and highlight trade-offs for review
  • Prepare fact-based analyses and business cases to support portfolio decision-making
Portfolio Governance
  • Manage the end-to-end operational rhythm of portfolio governance
  • Ensure all markets and functions adhere to global portfolio guardrails (SKU tiering complexity thresholds minimum volume requirements)
  • Maintain visibility on sunsetting consolidation and reformulation projects; track progress and flag misalignments or delays to the Senior Director
  • Prepare decision-support packages with data insights and options for governance councils or leadership forums
  • Own and update the master portfolio database ensuring data integrity consistency and accessibility for stakeholders
  • Surface governance risks or non-compliance with recommendations for resolution
  • Conduct regular reviews of the portfolio toidentifySKUs outside agreedgovernance parameters (e.g. lowvelocity duplication brand misalignment)
  • Liaise between regions and global functions to ensure local portfolio decisions align with global standards
Innovation
  • Oversee in-market performance tracking againstbusiness casesand KPIsmonitoringinnovationssuccess and understandingimplications for ourglobal portfolio
  • Supportalignment with global supply andregionalmarketing teams to enable product launchestransitionsand discontinuations
  • Championcontinuous improvement in ways of working sourcing new methodstoolsand techniques (including AI-enabled approaches) to support greater speed and scalability
Cross-Functional Partnership & Execution
  • Partner with SupplyChain& procurementtoensure we cansuccessfullyscalethe portfolio
  • Communicate clear rationale for portfolio choices with Global Marketingto buildcompelling evidence-based selling stories and business cases that give the organisation confidencetoact
  • Build relationships withMDssalesandcustomerteamsto ensure we are customer obsessed
  • Work with Finance toanalyzecommercialperformanceat SKU-levelto maximize commercialization
  • Analyzeand interpret pricing and promotional performance looking beyond actual price to the presentation of priceto understand implications for our portfolios architecture
Communication & People Leadership
  • Communicate portfolio recommendations clearly and persuasively to business leadership
  • Managecoachand develop direct report(s) supporting them on their plans and initiatives
  • Champion learning and development across the team
What youll need to be successful.
  • Bachelors degree in Business Marketing Finance or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in CPG marketing portfolio management category management or related commercial leadership roles.
  • Experience managing multi-brand and/or multi-category portfolios preferably within Retail Foodservice and QSR channels.
  • Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen with the ability to balance growth opportunities and profitability objectives.
  • Demonstrated success leveraging consumer category market and financial data to influence portfolio and business decisions.
  • Advanced analytical and modeling capabilities including experience with P&L analysis pricing strategies ROI evaluation and scenario planning.
  • Proficiency with Excel Power BI and AI-enabled business tools.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment across complex global organizations.
  • Excellent communication presentation and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex analyses into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience managing and developing team members is preferred.
About the team.
The Global Snacking team is responsible for shaping and accelerating McCains growth within the snacking category. Working across regions and functions the team develops portfolio strategies drives innovation and ensures strong governance practices that support customer needs and business performance. This role collaborates closely with Innovation Marketing Finance Supply Chain Procurement Sales and Regional Leadership teams to execute a globally aligned and locally relevant snacking portfolio strategy.

Compensation Package:$97500.00 -$130000.00 . CAD annually Bonus Eligibility
