Job Description:

Position Purpose
The Manager Donor Engagement will be responsible for soliciting donations of food and other supplies for distribution to Salvation Army Ministry Units e.g. food banks and shelters.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and manage donor relationships partnerships and sponsorships to drive ongoing engagement retention and increased in-kind contributions.
  • Solicit and secure donations (food toys supplies and other goods) from businesses community partners and individuals to support Salvation Army programs.
  • Identify and cultivate new corporate and community partnerships to expand resource development and meet emerging program needs.
  • Plan and coordinate seasonal and community campaigns (e.g. Toy Mountain Back-to-School) to ensure effective collection organization and distribution of donations.
  • Represent the organization at community events and outreach initiatives to strengthen visibility partnerships and volunteer participation.
  • Manage and maintain accurate donor records campaign data and reporting using internal systems ensuring confidentiality and timely acknowledgements.
  • Design and deliver donor stewardship and recognition initiatives including events site visits and engagement opportunities that encourage continued support.
  • Coordinate logistics and partnerships for the Christmas Campaign including vendor relations donation bin placement toy drives and transportation scheduling.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams public relations and external stakeholders to align on priority needs communications and community engagement strategies.
  • Ensure compliance and safety by adhering to organizational policies OH&S regulations and health and safety standards while supporting all activities.

Education and experience Qualifications:

  • Completion of a three-year post-secondary program in Community Relations Fundraising Management or a related field (equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered).
  • Valid Class G drivers license access to a reliable vehicle and valid insurance; ability to complete required background checks.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in fundraising public relations marketing or a related field preferably within the not-for-profit sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and ability to manage data reporting and communications effectively.
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to build strong community partnerships.
  • Strong analytical mathematical problem-solving and time-management abilities with attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively provide coaching and feedback and contribute positively within a team environment.
  • High level of ethics confidentiality accountability and commitment to representing the organization with professionalism and respect.
  • Self-motivated flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities including working extended or irregular hours during peak periods.
  • Commitment to understanding and supporting The Salvation Armys mission values and service objectives.

Compensation:

The target hiring range for this position is $58531.20 to $73174.40 with a maximum of $87817.60.

Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions internal equity and candidate experience skills and qualifications relevant to the role.
