We are currently looking for a Manager Compliance & Technology Information to join our team in Mississauga ON.
POSITION SUMMARY
This role will be responsible for interacts with Transport Canada and Environment and Climate Change Canada on Recall certification compliance and regulatory matters. Responsible for identification investigation and reporting of vehicle compliance deficiencies. Manages the implementation of product recalls service campaigns dealer service actions and port programs. Responsible for the reporting of Federal/Provincial ZEV and GHG compliance programs. Manage the production and distribution of all Technical publications.
A Day in the Life:
- Manages Port modifications campaigns and recalls - Manages the activities for manufacturer ordered programs at port of entry compound or dealer level to carry out necessary vehicle modifications prior to sale. Ensure invoicing for the program can be submitted to the responsible party(ies). Manages matters pertaining to product campaigns and recalls including liaison with NML NMC NNA NRD and reporting to Transport Canada. Work with various NCI department to ensure adequate parts supply and timely delivery of parts. Manage relationships with parts marketing to ensure campaign parts pricing is reviewed with warranty department to ensure claiming procedures are in place and monitoring and controlling of incident expenses to ensure recovery from the party(ies) responsible.
- Manage vehicle and product compliance issues - Identifies investigates and reports vehicle compliance deficiencies and recommends corrective action. Liaises with engineering and compliance personnel at NML NMC NMMC NISMEX NRD NNA and local vendors to ensure all products comply with all Federal and Provincial safety and emission regulations.
- Manage government initiated investigations - Liaises with Federal and Provincial governments on reported safety/compliance items and regulatory issues. Manages Transport Canada and Environment Canada initiated product investigations.
- Manage technical publications - Oversee the development and release of technical publications (ETSBs) to ensure dealers/NCI staff have access to timely information on all known product countermeasures and repair techniques. Ensuring the timely production and availability of Electronic Service Manuals Responsible for the production and operation of ASIST technical resource tool. Manage all budgeting related to Technical publications and ASIST.
- Manages the NCI essential tool program including the evaluation and determining of dealer tools and equipment; managing the budget and controlling expenses; ensuring invoicing to dealers to ensure proper revenue for NCI (approximately $2.0M).

Minimum Qualifications:
A degree in automotive engineering or equivalent technical background/knowledge with dealer service operations
Job Knowledge and Skills:
- Technical background/knowledge with dealer service operations technical report writing ability supervisory experience and good interpersonal skills.
- A working knowledge of related Provincial and Federal legislation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools is required.
Years of Experience:
- A minimum of 7 to 10 years related experience is required.
Travel Required
- Regular travel to Tennessee may be required during training phase the first 23 months but after that only occasional business travels when needed
Desired:
- Minimum of 2 years of exp in leadership role will be preferred.

Salary Range:
$110032.00 - $137665.00This compensation range represents the minimum to midpoint base salary rates at Nissan for jobs assigned to this particular grade level. Please note that an employees base salary may occasionally be set above the midpoint of the salary band for this grade level in recognition of the employees unique skills work experience education work location or market conditions. Compensation decisions also consider internal equity and comparisons with the base salary rates of other employees with similar backgrounds working in comparable roles. Note: Bonus benefits and other forms of variable compensation are not included in the base-salary range shown above.
