Maintenance Technician, Welder

As a Certified Welder your responsibilities will include:

• Working with a high-performance team dedicated to maintaining conveyors mechanical systems rollers and chains and bearings
• Weld and repair structural components of sawmill machinery including frames supports and other metal structures.
• Keeping our systems running smoothly by performing preventative predictive and reactive maintenance
• Perform maintenance welding to address wear and tear ensuring the continued safe and efficient operation of equipment.
• Use welding and cutting equipment to fabricate metal components or parts as needed for sawmill machinery or other equipment.
• Applying your knowledge skills and experience to troubleshoot issues enhance equipment reliability and implement safe reliable fixes to keep the mill running.
• Ensure that welding activities comply with industry safety standards and regulations.
• Accountability for assisting in creating a safe work environment for coworkers customers and site visitors.

For this role we are looking for candidates who:

• Hold a Red Seal Certification
• Have the physical capability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Solid background in heavy industry structural welding or service truck
