Description

We are seeking a Maintenance Scheduler to join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of our company. Irving Equipment Limited is a leading Heavy Lift and Specialized Transport company with an extensive fleet of mobile and crawler cranes SPMTs and other specialized equipment.

As a Maintenance Scheduler you will be responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance activities ensuring the efficient operation of our equipment and the smooth execution of projects. You will work closely with our Maintenance Team 3rd party vendors and various departments to ensure continuity and meet maintenance deadlines.



Responsibilities
  • Verify resource requirements and availability for planned maintenance work.
  • Generate and review schedules with the Maintenance Team incorporating operational concerns.
  • Release daily work orders to maintenance leads and trades ensuring resource allocation.
  • Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials and components for scheduled work.
  • Interact with the Maintenance Team to ensure schedule adherence and necessary modifications.
  • Engage with 3rd party vendors for maintenance support and collaboration.
  • Review completed work orders for data recording and analysis identifying areas for improvement.
  • Track and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor maintenance performance.
  • Be available for on-call operational work based on a predetermined schedule.
  • Ensure a safe and efficient work environment adhering to safety protocols.


Qualifications
  • College diploma in a related field such as mechanical engineering or maintenance management.
  • Experience in mechanical work planning preferably in a unionized environment is an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Excellent time management skills to meet maintenance deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and communicate effectively with various departments.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make informed decisions in critical situations.
  • Willingness and ability to assume supervisory or management duties as required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word Excel Project PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Oracle/E1 experience is considered an asset but not mandatory.
  • A positive can-do attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement and learning.
