Maintenance Planner

The Industrial Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning scheduling and coordinating maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and plant productivity. This role works closely with operations maintenance supervisor tradespeople and contractors to ensure maintenance work is executed safely efficiently and with minimal disruption to production.

What Youll do:

• Develop and maintain weekly and long-range maintenance schedules.
• Create detailed work orders including labor requirements parts tools permits and safety procedures.
• Coordinate planned shutdowns outages and major maintenance projects.
• Review maintenance requests and prioritize work based on safety reliability and operational requirements.
• Maintain and optimize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Ensure required parts and materials are identified ordered and available before scheduled work begins.
• Analyze equipment history and maintenance data to identify reliability improvement opportunities.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Monitor maintenance backlog and develop plans to reduce overdue work.
• Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities that minimize downtime.
• Assist with budget planning and contractor coordination.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety reliability and cost reduction.

What youll need:

• Technical diploma trade certification or degree in Mechanical Electrical Industrial or related discipline.
• Experience in maintenance planning maintenance supervision or industrial maintenance preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices preferred.
• Experience using JD Edwards or similar systems considered an asset.
• Strong organizational communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel.
