This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment solving technical challenges and contributing to a safe efficient manufacturing operation. Youll play a key role in maintaining production equipment minimizing downtime and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform preventive predictive corrective and emergency maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical electrical pneumatic hydraulic and automated equipment.
Diagnose equipment issues identify root causes and implement effective long-term solutions.
Install modify commission and decommission production equipment as required.
Complete scheduled preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and performance.
Read and interpret technical drawings schematics manuals and engineering specifications.
Repair or fabricate components using machine shop equipment welding equipment and hand and power tools.
Inspect equipment and components using precision measuring instruments.
Adjust and maintain machinery to ensure optimal operating performance.
Support inventory management by identifying required replacement parts and maintenance supplies.
Coordinate with contractors vendors and suppliers during maintenance projects.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment issues repairs and recommendations.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety productivity and equipment reliability.
Follow all workplace health safety and environmental policies and procedures.
Certified Millwright (433A) licence preferred or an equivalent combination of education and relevant maintenance experience.
35 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with PLCs VFDs automated equipment and process automation systems.
Experience in foam manufacturing foam fabrication or a similar manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
Knowledge of Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) systems is an asset.
Strong mechanical electrical and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of Canadian electrical and workplace safety standards.
Experience operating or working around forklifts scissor lifts or similar equipment is an asset.
Experience with fire alarm systems and facility maintenance is considered an asset.
Ability to read technical drawings and equipment documentation.
Strong analytical thinking and root cause problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with maintenance production and leadership teams.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
