Location Design Key Ontario

The Location Key Design Artist responsibility is to establish the look of our main 2D series locations. With the support of the series director the Location Key artist will use their strong design skillsets to create different locations that suit the series style and need. The locations created need to be usable with layers and space for characters and objects to move.

Key Responsibilities:

Establishing and maintaining the visual style and quality of location designs

Ensure the location designs align with the technical and artistic requirements

Incorporate the feedback specified by the series director into the location backgrounds

Creates the location designs following the established method

Address all revisions requested

Make sure the internal tracking software (Producer) is up-to-date regarding the Location Key Designs (work status updated & work files uploaded)

Ensure consistency and quality throughout your work

Profile

Needs to be a resident of the Province of Ontario

Strong knowledge of Harmony (Location Keys will be designed directly in Harmony)

Certificate or equivalent experience

Minimum 3 years experience working as a Location Key Design artist on a 2D television series

Knowledge of the animation industry and recent animated productions

Strong artistic background and curiosity about various art forms

Proficiency in digital design techniques

Excellent sense of volume and good understanding of perspective.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to new techniques and artistic styles.

Good time management and ability to meet production deadlines

Creativity resourcefulness collaborative & organization
