Litigation Lawyer

Location: Toronto ON (Midtown)

Forge Recruitment is partnering with a well-established boutique law firm in Midtown Toronto to recruit an Associate Lawyer for its growing Litigation practice.

• Manage a litigation caseload with a primary focus on creditors rights debt recovery and judgment enforcement matters.
• Represent financial institutions leasing companies and other commercial clients in recovery and enforcement proceedings.
• Draft pleadings motions affidavits settlement materials and other litigation documents.
• Attend court appearances motions mediations examinations and other litigation proceedings as required.
• Provide strategic legal advice and practical solutions to clients throughout the litigation process.
• Maintain regular communication with clients and opposing counsel.
• Effectively manage files from inception through resolution while ensuring compliance with court deadlines.
• Collaborate with colleagues on complex matters while managing files independently.
• Participate in networking and business development initiatives to support the continued growth of the practice.

• Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
• 23 years of litigation experience in Ontario.
• Experience in creditors rights debt recovery enforcement proceedings or commercial litigation is considered a strong asset.
• Strong advocacy drafting and legal research skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
• An interest in business development and building long-term client relationships.

• Salary: $75000$110000 commensurate with experience.
