Lead Software Engineer

Position: Lead Software Engineer ( Azure Microservices)
Location: Hybrid 3x per week onsite (Toronto ON)
Structure: Full-Time
Compensation: $150K$170K Base Salary

Requirements:

810 years of experience in Software Engineering with 23 years in a Technical Lead / Lead Engineer capacity

Strong hands-on experience building scalable distributed systems microservices APIs and event-driven applications

Strong backend development experience with Python and/or C#/.NET

Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React and Angular

Experience working within cloud-native environments using Azure Docker and Kubernetes

Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines DevOps practices and Agile/Scrum delivery environments

Experience with SQL / NoSQL databases and messaging systems such as Kafka or Service Bus

Strong understanding of software engineering best practices including testing code quality secure development and version control

Experience conducting code reviews mentoring developers and leading technical delivery without direct authority

Experience collaborating closely with Architecture DevOps and Product teams

Exposure to AI/ML integrations Generative AI services or intelligent workflow platforms is considered a strong asset

Strong communication stakeholder management and collaboration skills

Nice-to-have:

• Kubernetes production experience
• ERP / CRM modernization experience
• Event streaming architecture experience
• Flutter or mobile application exposure
• Infrastructure / Platform Engineering collaboration experience
• Experience working within fast-paced SaaS or product engineering environments
