Rockstar Recruiting is hiring an experienced Red Seal Truck and Transportation Mechanic Lead Hand to join the Maintenance Department in Halifax NS.

The Lead Hand will provide day-to-day leadership technical guidance and work coordination while performing the full range of mechanical duties. You will play an important role in supporting technicians and apprentices maintaining a modern motorcoach fleet and ensuring work is completed safely efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Perform the full scope of Red Seal Truck & Transport Mechanic duties.

Diagnose troubleshoot repair and maintain motorcoaches buses support vehicles and related equipment.

Perform complex mechanical and electrical diagnostics.

Mentor and assist technicians with difficult repairs and troubleshooting and provide day-to-day directions

Complete preventative maintenance and inspections in accordance with company and regulatory standards.

Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide after-hours support when required.

Ensure repairs are completed safely efficiently and to a high standard.

What Were Looking For

Red Seal Truck & Transport Mechanic Certification required.

5 years of progressive Truck & Transport heavy-duty or bus/motorcoach mechanical experience.

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.

Solid electrical and electronic diagnostic knowledge.

Previous experience mentoring apprentices or leading technicians

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple jobs.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A safety-first mindset and commitment to quality workmanship.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced maintenance environment.

Valid Class 2 or Class 3 drivers licence with air brake endorsement is an asset.
