Kitchen General Helper Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital Busy Retail Food Site ()

The Team Member is responsible for providing excellent customer service preparing food and beverages according to Tim Hortons and Sodexo standards maintaining food safety standards and ensuring the restaurant remains clean organized and fully stocked at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Suggest menu items combo meals and promotions.
• Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
• Maintain a positive customer experience at all times.

Food & Beverage Preparation

• Prepare coffee tea cold beverages and specialty drinks.
• Prepare bagels soups sandwiches wraps and other menu items.
• Follow Tim Hortons Sodexo HACCP and food safety standards.
• Ensure product quality freshness and proper presentation.
• Record food and equipment temperatures as required.

Cleaning & Sanitation Duties

• Clean and sanitize counters coffee stations and customer service areas.
• Wash and sanitize food preparation surfaces and equipment.
• Clean coffee brewers iced coffee machines hot beverage dispensers and blenders.
• Sweep and mop floors throughout the shift and at closing.
• Empty garbage and recycling bins and replace liners.
• Clean dining tables chairs condiment stations and customer seating areas.
• Clean refrigerators freezers microwaves and food display cases.
• Maintain cleanliness of sinks and dishwashing areas.
• Restock cleaning supplies and paper products.
• Follow daily weekly and monthly cleaning schedules.
• Complete cleaning checklists and sanitation logs.
• Ensure washrooms (if assigned) are clean and stocked.
• Maintain a clean backroom and storage area.
• Report maintenance pest control or sanitation concerns immediately.

Food Safety & Compliance

• Follow HACCP policies and procedures.
• Complete food safety temperature and cleaning logs.
• Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
• Wear required PPE and follow health and safety regulations.
• Complete audits and operational checklists as assigned.

Inventory & Stocking

• Replenish cups lids napkins sugar milk and condiments.
• Stock food displays and merchandise products.
• Rotate products using FIFO principles.
• Notify supervisors of low inventory levels.

Qualifications :

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Tim Hortons Subway Starbucks experience is asset
• Experience in food service retail cafeteria coffee shop or hospital food operations.
• Knowledge of food safety sanitation HACCP and occupational health and safety procedures.
• Cash handling and POS experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize duties during busy periods
