The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) is made up of a team of experts who understand local communities and assess every property in Ontario. What we do provides the very foundation that municipalities use to base the property taxes needed to pay for the services we use every day.

You have:
- Enrollment in a post-secondary education specializing in Urban and/or Regional Planning Geography Data Science Public Policy Economics or related field
- Enrollment in a recognized co-op placement program
- Proficient in the use of software programs including Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and Outlook
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility to travel as required
Nice to have:
- Working knowledge of programs and languages such as ARCGIS or QGIS SQL SPSS R and Python
- Valid drivers license
What you will do:
- Conduct research and analysis on policies academic literature programs legislation and industry best practices and trends to support branch initiatives
- Review and document the sources of information
- Organize background documentation and present research findings in literature reviews environmental scans memos charts or reports to the Research Insights & Engagement branch where appropriate
- Provide technical support to assist with responses to requests
- Identify collect and analyze data to support branch initiatives
- Collect and assist with data analysis and communicate research results
- Other duties as assigned
