Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic

Clean HarborsEdmonton AB is looking for a Certified Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanicto join their safety conscious team!

The ideal candidate will assist in the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty units including but not limited to tractors trailers and loaders. This is a permanent full-time position with a Friday-Monday compressed work week with your day starting at 6am-6:30pm.

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices policies and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
• Ensure that all equipment is properly secured prior to work/repairs (i.e. Uses chock blocks and jack stands).
• Correct all equipment deficiencies and perform routine and preventative maintenance on company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform thorough inspections of equipment and identify required repairs.
• Troubleshoot diagnose and repair equipment and light and heavy duty vehicles.
• Disassemble inspect and replace worn or broken parts.
• Fit and adjust new or repaired parts.
• Complete and submit all associated paperwork as required for tracking Preventative Maintenance schedules.
• Fill out and submit all required documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ensure the shop area is kept clean tidy and free of hazards at all times.

• Certified Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic.
• CVIP certification required.
• 2 years experience working as a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic.
• Previous experience working on Vacuum Trucks is an asset.
• Previous experience quoting jobs preferred.
• Class 5 Drivers License required.
