Working Business Language: English. This role is considered a head-office role and will be required to communicate with internal stakeholders across Canada where the primary business language utilized is English.

Working under minimal supervision this role contributes to Wawanesas success by assisting with implementing strategies and initiatives to achieve profitability competitiveness and efficiency with our Broker Receivable systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Assists with development and execution of team reporting including the creation and analysis of relevant reports as assigned extending to the maintenance of reporting dashboards and participation in larger reporting strategy.
- Participates in the completion of monthly/quarterly financial accountability process in conjunction with relevant lines of business including but not limited to data preparation and reporting analysis and presentation of data.
- Analyzes and resolves complex billing payment and reconciliation related issues.
- Initiates communications with broker partners to ensure diligent handling of identified payment trigger items within Service Level Agreements.
- Supports the development and implementation of strategies and initiatives.
- Maintains and updates procedure manuals and department process workflows to ensure up to date information is captured.
- Participates in the creation review and annual updating of Standard Work documents to ensure they are available upon audit request.
- Liaises with internal and external stakeholders as a subject matter expert on departmental initiatives including technological advancements.
- Assists with system changes testing implementation training and transitional support
- Reports and tracks system incidents; collaborate with stakeholders to seek resolutions to problems.
- Mentors and develop team members and facilitate sessions for the sharing of knowledge and best practices Performs broker receivables reconciliations as assigned.
- Fosters positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 5 years of Payment Processing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles accounts receivable workflows and procedures.
- Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite Power BI and Copilot or other AI Assistance software.
- Experience with Accounting and Receivables software (or relevant systems).
- Strong leadership skills to positively influence team members and provide direction.
- Strong analytical problem-solving organizational and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
- Adaptable to a changing environment with the ability to champion change while motivating and influencing others.
- Experience with Guidewire and PeopleSoft is an asset.
- Experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry is an asset.
- Actively enrolled in the CIP program or willingness to enroll is an asset.
- Active enrollment in business analyst financial analyst or equivalent program and/or courses or completed degree/diploma an asset.
