JanitorEvent Worker Facilities

Position Overview:

The City of Prince Albert is currently accepting applications for the casual position of Janitor/Event Worker. Employees in this position will perform a wide variety of janitorial functions and manual labour in and around a number of City owned facilities. Work of this classification includes both heavy and light physical labour and requires the ability to work effectively on an independent basis.

Employees in this position work Monday - Friday 5pm to 9pm.

Required Qualifications:

- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license
- Security Background check and/or Criminal Record check will be required
- Must be willing to take applicable safety and job-related programs/courses

Preferred candidates will have experience with janitorial/custodial duties. The starting rate for this position is currently $17.35 hour with an increase to $20.73/hour after completion of 1040 hours worked.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

- Perform a variety of janitorial duties required to maintain a clean safe and sanitary environment in and around the facilities.
- Perform manual labour and custodial duties required throughout special event functions.
- Perform heavy manual tasks when required.
- Keep records of work performed.
