IT Support Specialist
Job Summary
- Respond to incoming IT support tickets in a timely professional manner.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware software network and operating system issues.
- Ensure timely recording tracking escalation and resolution of end-user technical problems and requirements received using the IT ticketing system (JIRA).
- Provision configure and deploy desktop computers laptops mobile devices and peripherals.
- Manage user accounts permissions and security groups within Active Directory and Google suite.
- Develop reference and training materials and provide new hires IT systems set up and training.
- Perform general administrative/office maintenance duties for the IT department as needed.
- Escalate complex technical issues to the IT Manager.
- Handle scheduled software upgrades and patches with the IT Manager.
- Collaborate with other internal teams to ensure all aspects of on-going IT projects and support requests are met.
- Stay abreast of current and future technological developments or trends.
- College diploma in computer science IT or an acceptable combination of education and related work experience.
- Strong competence in the Microsoft Ecosystem and Google Suite.
- Familiarity with VMWare Virtualization technology (ESXi / Vsphere).
- Exposure to AWS (Amazon) based cloud technologies.
- Basic Networking & Troubleshooting Skills.
- Entry Level Linux/Unix knowledge.
- Highly organized detailed and multi-task oriented with the ability to balance priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Exceptional customer service skills with an ability to interact in a professional and friendly manner with end users at all levels within the organization.
