Job Summary

Do you have a heart for the vulnerable population Would you like to use your skills and experience to make a difference We are seeking an IT Infrastructure Analyst to join our Information Technology Team.

Reporting to the Manager Information Technology this role provides hands-on day-to-day infrastructure support for the Edmonton region while also contributing to the broader centralized IT environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring local operational stability improved response times and consistent alignment with centralized IT standards while supporting infrastructure systems troubleshooting and IT project delivery.

This position serves as the primary onsite IT infrastructure resource in Edmonton working closely with centralized IT teams.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Infrastructure Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide onsite and remote infrastructure support for servers networks storage backup systems and other IT hardware;
  • Monitor and maintain local IT systems to ensure uptime performance and reliability;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues escalating complex or design-level issues to the Senior IT Infrastructure Administrator;
  • Provide day-to-day infrastructure support for end users including hardware connectivity and system access issues.

Project & Deployment Support

  • Support IT infrastructure projects upgrades and deployments under the direction of the Senior IT Infrastructure Administrator;
  • Assist with server/network configuration patching and system upgrades in alignment with organizational standards;
  • Participate in disaster recovery activities testing and backup verification processes.

Centralization & Collaboration

  • Work closely with IT Infrastructure Systems Administration Cybersecurity and Development teams to ensure Edmonton infrastructure aligns with centralized IT standards and architecture;
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for Edmonton-based staff ensuring timely communication issue resolution and alignment with IT processes;
  • Support implementation of centralized IT initiatives within Edmonton and assist other sites as required under direction of IT leadership.

Process Improvement & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate documentation of local infrastructure systems changes and support activities;
  • Contribute to process improvements that improve efficiency reliability and service quality;
  • Support compliance with IT policies and security procedures as directed by IT leadership (implementation support not governance ownership).


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent work experience);
  • 24 years of experience in IT infrastructure systems administration or network support;
  • Experience with server network and storage systems including troubleshooting and maintenance;
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure best practices network protocols and basic security hygiene principles;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities;
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS Azure etc.) and backup/disaster recovery practices is an asset.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working in a distributed or multi-site IT environment with centralized IT governance;
  • Exposure to structured IT service environments (ticketing systems SLAs escalation processes);
  • Familiarity with supporting standardized cybersecurity and compliance practices within IT infrastructure environments (implementation-level support).


WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Full-time Edmonton-based position.
  • This position will involve a mix of office-based work and remote flexibility depending on the needs of the department and projects.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
