Tacten is seeking experienced energetic and safety-focused Journeyperson Pipefitters with IRATA Rope Access certification to support our client site at Shell Scotford in Fort Saskatchewan AB. Position Details

Employment Type: Regular Full Time

Site: Shell Scotford Fort Saskatchewan AB

Rotation: 4/10s Monday to Thursday

Please note - candidates must be local to Edmonton or surrounding area.

• Installation and Assembly:

  • Read and interpret blueprints schematics and isometric drawings.
  • Assemble and install piping systems and related equipment following specifications.
  • Measure cut thread and bend pipes using various tools and equipment.
  • Install supports valves and other control equipment.
    
    

• Maintenance and Repair:

  • Inspect troubleshoot and repair piping systems.
  • Perform regular maintenance to ensure system integrity and performance.
  • Replace defective or worn components as necessary.

• Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure work is performed in compliance with relevant building codes standards and regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work collaboratively with other trades contractors and team members.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and project managers regarding project status and any issues encountered.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and less experienced pipefitters.

Position Requirements

• Journeyman Pipefitting Certification Required
• IRATA Level 1 required or willingness to obtain.

Safety Certifications

• CSTS/OSSA or OSSA BSO or OSSA CSO
• CSE/M (Confined Space and Monitor and Entry)
• ESC Fall Protection an asset
