THE OPPORTUNITYWe have an opportunity for an Investment Assistant to join our award-winning firm in the Vancouver YOULL DOIn this role you will join the Burrard Investment Management Group a collaborative advisory team led by two Senior Wealth Managers. The team includes a Financial Planner Portfolio Analyst Senior Wealth Associate and an Investment Associate providing dedicated support for discretionary portfolio management services to clients with complex wealth management successful candidate is client-focused and detail-oriented. You take ownership of your responsibilities adapt to changing priorities and contribute to a team culture that values client service and and Administrative SupportProcess transactions such as wires EFTs contributions withdrawals and transfers in a timely mannerFacilitate account opening and onboardingDocument transactions and client communications and ensure regulatory complianceMaintain accurate records while protecting client confidentiality and privacyClient Support and Relationship ManagementCollaborate with the Portfolio Manager and client service teams to deliver a seamless client experience and contribute to internal improvementsRespond to client calls and emails in a professional and timely manner including inquiries related to account activity documentation and follow-up itemsCoordinate the Portfolio Managers calendar and client meetings including scheduling confirmations preparation of materials and follow-upMaintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with KYC/AML regulationsAssist with new client onboardingEnsure client files and documentation are up to date and accurate in SalesforceSupport clients through the wealth management process by gathering relevant information documents and questionnaires and ensuring outstanding tasks are completedCOMPETENCIESAnalysis Assess quantitative and qualitative data information or situations to understand key details identify patterns or meaning and translate insights into useful recommendations decisions or actionsCoordination Prioritize organize and manage information people assets resources messages tasks and/or activities to achieve a goal within timelinesCustomer Service Determine needs capture relevant information apply internal policies or regulations and escalate and prioritize customer requests to answer inquiries fulfill transactions or resolve issuesDigital Literacy Use technology tools and online resources to find create and communicate information or apply new digital tools or systems to our work while staying safe and responsible in digital environmentsProduct Knowledge Maintain and deepen knowledge of company products services and/or applications to align features benefits and uses to client or stakeholder needsRegulatory Knowledge Understand and apply relevant laws regulations and standards to meet legal and ethical requirements and reduce risk for clients and the organizationKNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCEMinimum of 5 years of client-facing experience within the investment industryRegistration with CIRO as an Investment Representative in good standing with a willingness to pursue Registered Representative registrationIntermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 with expertise in ExcelIntermediate knowledge of SalesforceExceptional verbal communication skillsStrong writing skills with the ability to create clear engaging and professional contentProfessional tactful and confident when interacting with clientsExceptional attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to work efficiently and accuratelyCollaborative team member with a proven record of building trust and productive relationshipsStrong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesDisciplined motivated and operates with a high level of accountabilityWHAT WE OFFERA culture of openness collaboration and respect is foundational to our firm.
