Founded in 1983 Bimcor a wholly owned subsidiary of Bell Canada currently manages over $30 billion invested in a wide range of public and private financial assets mainly on behalf of pension funds of Bell Canada and its various subsidiaries and affiliates. Bimcors head office is in Montréal and it ranks as one of the largest private sector pension fund managers in Canada.

The individual will assist in developing tools to monitor investments in Public Markets. The incumbent will notably perform market research and financial analysis assist with portfolio management activities and participate to investment meetings. The incumbent will support the investment team on ad-hoc requests and may be asked to participate to other projects.

This role is best suited for students pursuing a career in asset management pension fund investing fixed income capital markets portfolio management or institutional investing.

  • Lenght of internship: 4-8 months
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop tools and models with Excel and Bloomberg for the Fixed Income and Alternative Investmentsportfolio management teams
  • Leverage Microsoft Copilot and other AI tools to develop agents automate workflows and improve the efficiency of investment research and portfolio management processes.
  • Perform market research and financial analysis to evaluate investment opportunities and macro-economic developments
  • Participate in other projects and complete any other task as requested by the investment team
Critical Qualifications
  • Undergraduate or Post-Graduate degree in progress (2nd or 3rd year) with a concentration in finance economics or a related field
  • Strong understanding of the investment world including fixed income and derivative instruments
  • Proficiency in financial analysis
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg Terminal and financial modeling an asset
  • Knowledge of databases programming Microsoft Copilot Studio and process automation an asset
  • Bilingualism required:In the course of their duties this person will be required to interact with French & English speaking stakeholders across Canada
  • Mature flexible autonomous highly motivated team player with good communication skill

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
