Intermediate Requirements Engineer
Aversan Inc.() is a trusted multi-service engineering and electronics manufacturing company. Aversan delivers leading-edge and reliable safety-critical electronics and software systems to the aerospace defence and space industries.
We are currently seeking a Intermediate Requirements Engineer strive to understand the end-users needs limitations and concept of employment for the system and ensure that they are accurately captured analyzed documented and maintained throughout the system lifecycle. At the intermediate level the Requirements Engineer applies established processes and tools to deliver high-quality requirements while collaborating closely with engineers stakeholders and subject matter experts. The role is critical to ensuring systems are fit for purpose and not merely technically compliant.

Responsibilities
- Elicit analyze and document system subsystem and interface requirements.
- Work with stakeholders to capture operational needs constraints and expectations.
- Ensure requirements are clear feasible testable and verifiable. Maintain requirements specifications and related artefacts in a requirements management tool.
- Ensure bidirectional traceability between requirements architecture design verification and validation artefacts.
- Perform requirements decomposition coverage analysis and gap analysis.
- Participate in requirements reviews walkthroughs and sign-off activities.
- Support requirements change control baseline management and impact analysis.
- Collaborate with engineers and subject matter experts to produce high-quality requirements and related engineering artefacts.
- Support audits and compliance reviews with traceability evidence and documentation.
- Coordinate requirements and updates for defined capability areas as needed.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Systems Software Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the design and integration of complex systems in commercial and/or military domains.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience focused on requirements engineering activities.
- Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS or Polarion.
- Familiarity with DXL scripting.
- Exposure to scripting and integration technologies such as REST APIs XML/ReqIF Python or database queries.
- Experience supporting in-service naval platforms or other mission-critical systems.
- Eligible to obtain Professional Engineering designation () in Canada.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both written and oral.
- Bilingual English/French is an asset.

Compensation: $60000-$75000 CAD
The base salary or rate offered to an applicant within this range is determined by considering several factors including the individuals geographic location skills competencies and unique qualifications. This ensures compensation is fair and aligned with the specific requirements and attributes of each candidate.
