About the Opportunity
A Calgary litigation practice is seeking an Associate to join its insurance defence group working on a varied caseload for insurer and self-insured clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage insurance defence files from intake through resolution

• Draft pleadings motions and legal opinions

• Attend examinations for discovery mediations and court appearances

• Communicate regularly with insurer clients and adjusters

• Conduct legal research on coverage and liability issues

Qualifications

• Called to the Bar in Alberta in good standing

• 2-4 years of litigation experience ideally including insurance defence

• Strong file-management and client-communication skills

• Comfortable managing a high-volume caseload

• Practical business-minded approach to litigation
