We are currently recruiting a casual hourly Aviation Maintenance Instructor to support dualcredit programming and help equip the next generation of aviation professionals. If you are a positive highly motivated Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with a Transport Canada AME M license we encourage you to apply.
- Deliver the ASYS245 dualcredit course in alignment with SAIT policies ethics and best practices
- Prepare and deliver lessons lectures assignments quizzes exams and demonstrations
- Maintain accurate records for grading professionalism assessments and attendance tracking in theory and lab settings
- Share attendance and achievement data with internal and external stakeholders in accordance with POPA
- Manage classroom and lab environments to ensure a positive safe learning experience aligned with SAITs Minors on Campus and childsafeguarding policies
- Build rapport with learners and foster a supportive inclusive climate
- Provide ongoing guidance and communicate regularly with schoolboard partner representatives
- Assist in curriculum development including adapting content for younger learners
- Oversee the student lab environment including scheduling equipment use and proper storage
- Maintain strong connections with industry partners SAIT Youth Initiatives and school boards
- Participate in curriculum and program reviews related to dualcredit delivery
- Relevant postsecondary education (minimum twoyear diploma from a recognized institution)
- Minimum five years of related industry experience
- Licensed AME
- Experience and genuine interest in working with junior high and high school youth
- Dualcredit teaching experience is an asset
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to organize and present written information clearly
- Strong commitment to delivering highquality instruction within established timelines
