Comment vous aurez un impact
  • Agir à titre de référence technique et de porte-parole de lorganisation pour les questions liées aux transformateurs de puissance.
  • Fournir des conseils techniques et stratégiques aux différentes unités daffaires aux équipes multidisciplinaires et aux clients.
  • Soutenir les clients internes et externes en dirigeant des réunions techniques en présentant des analyses et en recommandant les prochaines étapes.
  • Négocier les exigences techniques avec les clients et évaluer les concessions techniques lorsque requis.
  • Réaliser des études techniques et des analyses visant à optimiser les conceptions et à faciliter la fabrication.
  • Diriger et mettre en œuvre des initiatives de réduction des coûts en conception et en fabrication afin de générer des économies de matériaux et de main-dœuvre.
  • Participer aux revues de conception et recommander des améliorations techniques et opérationnelles.
  • Maintenir une connaissance approfondie des nouvelles technologies et des tendances du marché afin de soutenir la vision dinnovation de Hitachi Energy.
  • Développer du matériel de formation et assurer le mentorat des ingénieurs et du personnel de production.
  • Soutenir lintroduction de nouveaux équipements matériaux et fournisseurs en identifiant les exigences critiques nécessaires aux processus de qualification et de validation.
  • Diriger les enquêtes liées aux défaillances dessais et aux problématiques techniques en collaboration avec les équipes dingénierie de qualité de production et dessais.
  • Identifier les causes fondamentales recommander des actions correctives et proposer des solutions techniques durables.
  • Soutenir les opérations manufacturières en répondant aux questions concernant les écarts la complexité des conceptions et les clarifications techniques.
  • Réaliser des analyses de risques techniques et contribuer aux processus décisionnels stratégiques.
Votre profil
  • Le candidat doit déjà détenir une autorisation de travail valide lui permettant de travailler pour Hitachi Energy au Canada.
  • Baccalauréat en génie électrique.
  • De 15 à 20 années dexpérience dans lindustrie des transformateurs idéalement dans le domaine des transformateurs de puissance.
  • Une combinaison équivalente de formation dexpérience et de réalisations démontrées pourra être considérée.
  • Expertise approfondie en conception fabrication et performance des transformateurs de puissance.
  • Solides compétences en résolution de problèmes complexes analyse technique et gestion des risques.
  • Expérience démontrée en leadership technique et en influence auprès de parties prenantes multidisciplinaires.
  • Excellentes aptitudes en communication et en présentation auprès de clients et déquipes internes.
  • Capacité à gérer simultanément plusieurs dossiers techniques complexes dans un environnement manufacturier.
  • Maîtrise du français et niveau avancé danglais.

The Opportunity

Join Hitachi Energy and play a key role in advancing the technology and performance of our power transformer business. As a Senior Technical Specialist you will serve as a recognized technical authority within the organization influencing the direction innovation and continuous improvement of transformer engineering activities.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams customers and business stakeholders to solve complex technical challenges optimize product designs support strategic cost reduction initiatives and strengthen the competitiveness of our products in the global marketplace. Your expertise will directly contribute to operational excellence innovation and customer satisfaction.

How Youll Make an Impact
  • Serve as the organizations technical focal point and spokesperson on matters related to power transformers.
  • Provide technical and business guidance to internal stakeholders business units and customers.
  • Support internal and external customers by leading technical meetings presenting analyses and recommending next steps.
  • Negotiate technical requirements and concessions with customers when required.
  • Conduct technical studies and analyses to optimize product designs and improve manufacturability.
  • Lead and execute cost reduction initiatives within design and manufacturing processes to achieve material and labor savings.
  • Participate in engineering design reviews and recommend technical and operational improvements.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and industry trends aligned with Hitachi Energys strategic vision.
  • Develop training materials and mentor engineers and production personnel.
  • Support the introduction of new equipment materials and suppliers by identifying critical requirements for qualification and validation activities.
  • Lead test failure investigations and technical troubleshooting efforts in collaboration with engineering quality testing and production teams.
  • Identify root causes recommend corrective actions and implement sustainable technical solutions.
  • Support manufacturing operations by providing guidance on deviations design complexity and technical clarifications.
  • Perform technical risk assessments and contribute to key engineering and business decisions.
Your Background
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada.
  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering.
  • 15 to 20 years of experience within the transformer industry ideally in Large Power Transformers.
  • An equivalent combination of education experience and demonstrated accomplishments may be considered.
  • Extensive expertise in the design manufacturing and performance of power transformers.
  • Strong problem-solving technical analysis and risk assessment capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and influence decision-making across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with both customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex technical priorities within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in French and advanced English required.
