Industrial & Technological Benefits (ITB) Specialist

At Irving Shipbuilding were proud to support Canadas National Shipbuilding Strategy and strengthen the countrys defence industry. We are seeking a Specialist Industrial Participation to help deliver our Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITB) commitments to the Government of Canada.

Reporting to the Director Industrial Participation you will work across J.D. Irving companies industry partners and government stakeholders to identify develop and execute ITB-eligible initiatives that support Canadian economic growth and innovation.

• Support the development and execution of Irving Shipbuildings ITB strategy and commitments.
• Build relationships across J.D. Irving companies to identify ITB-eligible investment opportunities.
• Prepare and submit ITB proposals and transaction sheets for government approval.
• Collaborate with internal teams suppliers and government stakeholders to achieve ITB objectives.
• Monitor performance identify opportunities and provide recommendations to leadership.
• Support supplier negotiations related to ITB obligations.

• Bachelors degree in a related field.
• Experience working within Canadas defence industry and/or ITB policy environment.
• Strong stakeholder management relationship-building and communication skills.
• Experience working across cross-functional teams and managing complex initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint.
• Post-graduate education and existing relationships within the defence sector or ISED are considered assets.

Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) Canadian Government Security clearance and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
