Join Our Team as a Manufacturing Systems Technician Millwright at Johnson Electric!

Location: Ancaster Ontario (onsite)
Pay Rate: $42.21-$45.16 per hour Plus Continental Shift premiums: $1.00/hr (days) & $1.50/hr (nights)

Vacany Type: Full-time Permanent
Schedule: Continental shifts bi-weekly rotating as necessary

As our next Manufacturing Systems Technician Millwright you will play a critical role in maintaining troubleshooting repair refurbishment installation and startup of production and test equipment. This role supports highvolume manufacturing operations by providing strong mechanical expertise across mechanical hydraulic pneumatic electrical and controls systems while ensuring compliance with safety quality and environmental standards. You will reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

What Youll Be Doing:

  • Maintain repair refurbish and support production equipment and facilities in accordance with IATF 16949 ISO 9001 ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.

  • Repair assemble debug install and startup new or modified CNC PLC robotic and automated assembly equipment from a mechanical hydraulic pneumatic and controls perspective.

  • Perform handson troubleshooting and diagnosis of mechanical systems including machine tooling automated equipment and production systems in a highvolume manufacturing environment.

  • Work collaboratively with Operations Engineering and Quality teams to support new manufacturing projects equipment upgrades and production improvements.

  • Support planned maintenance activities emergency repairs and breakdown response to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.

  • Interpret and work from mechanical drawings schematics operating manuals and equipment documentation; assist in maintaining accurate and uptodate technical documentation.

  • Ensure machinery and equipment meet operational quality safety and efficiency requirements.

  • Utilize proper rigging lifting devices tools and techniques to safely position install and repair equipment.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability safety and overall maintenance effectiveness.

  • Maintain an organized wellequipped maintenance area with strong housekeeping and project organization practices.

  • Work with other maintenance team members to ensure effective communication shift handoff and coordination of work.

  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company Safety Quality Environmental and Production Systems.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

What Were Looking For:

QUALIFICATION

  • Secondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent.

  • Valid Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) (Red Seal or provincial equivalent) in good standing preferred

  • Completion of a recognized Millwright Apprenticeship preferred

  • In lieu of a Millwright Certificate or ticket candidates with five (5) or more years of relevant hands-on industrial maintenance experience will be considered.

EXPERIENCE

  • 1 to 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience supporting CNC PLC robotic or automated assembly equipment in a highvolume production setting.

TECHNICAL & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong handson mechanical skills related to equipment assembly machine repair and preventative maintenance.

  • Working knowledge of hydraulic pneumatic mechanical and basic electrical systems.

  • Exposure to PLC and CNCbased equipment; Fanuc robot experience is considered an asset.

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings schematics and technical manuals.

  • Strong troubleshooting problemsolving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to interact at all organizational levels.

  • High level of integrity dependability and sense of urgency in a production environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT (INCLUDING PHYSICAL DEMANDS)

  • Industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery noise temperature variations confined spaces and production materials.

  • Required to stand walk crouch climb ladders and stairs push pull lift and carry tools components and materials throughout the facility.

  • Operation of materialhandling and lifting equipment as required.

  • Willingness to work rotating or continental shifts overtime and emergency callins as required to support operations.
