Our recycling stream ensures that all the ferrous and non-ferrous metals that enter our yards will create something new again!Role Summary:In this role you will perform direct troubleshooting maintenance work for repair adjustment adaptation re-design preventative maintenance and installation of all plant and yard equipment machinery and infrastructure in order to assist in a safe and productive work environment for all employees. This position is performed outside in our recycling yards as well as indoors in our maintenance :Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plant equipment and machinery to maximize equipment reliability and diagnose and repair mechanical hydraulic pneumatic and basic electrical to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs in a safe and timely manner to support production and repair conveyors screeners shredders pumps gearboxes bearings motors and associated processing and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and and interpret blueprints mechanical drawings schematics hydraulic diagrams and equipment align commission and start up new machinery and hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during the installation set-up and repair of machineryFabricate modify and repair components using welding and metal fabrication welding repairs on equipment structures and plant all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) practices and company safety root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to minimize recurring work orders and maintenance documentation in an accurate and timely maintenance activities at multiple company locations within an 11 km radius as operational requirements lubricate and perform other routine maintenance as necessaryParticipate in shift rotations overtime weekends and emergency call-ins as other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities may evolve based on operational needs and business :Completion of secondary school is required.3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing recycling aggregates or heavy industrial troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic maintaining conveyors screeners shredders crushers and other heavy processing to read and interpret blueprints mechanical drawings hydraulic diagrams pneumatic diagrams and welding experience (MIG Stick and/or TIG); welding certification is required Familiar with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and safe work with precision alignment bearing installation power transmission systems and preventive maintenance to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a possess a valid G drivers possess and maintain a complete set of personal trade and willingness to work flexible shifts overtime weekends and at different company locations within an 11 km radius as commitment to safety quality continuous improvement and equipment & TransparencyIn accordance with Ontarios pay transparency requirements interviewed candidates will be informed when they are no longer under consideration for this position.
