Industrial Maintenance Millwright

SUPERVISOR: MAINTENANCEMANAGER

RANGE: $42.83- $45.83

GeneralPurpose:

The IndustrialMaintenance Millwright will assist in the overall maintenance of all plantequipment processes facilities and grounds. The Millwright will beresponsible for repairing large mill machinery machine & corrugatingmolls conducting periodic Preventative maintenance condition-basedmaintenance calibrations events and maintaining the plant following themaintenance program and policies.

KeyResponsibilites:

Work with other departments to provide excellent customer service inrepairing and maintaining production equipment to ensure minimal downtime andexpanded operational life span to prevent operational disruptions

Complete assigned work orders issued by the maintenance manager andplant personnel

Independently respond to unscheduled breakdowns and make necessaryrepairs to keep production running

Installation of equipment and rigging practices: position assemblealign and commission existing and new equipment and process as required on allmill machinery and use correct rigging and mechanical principles

Execute preventative maintenance events as directed in the establishedmaintenance program; utilize the CMMS (D365) system to its functions ofcompleting work orders spare part ordering and asset program

Make recommendations for major overhauls improvements and replacementof equipment

Assessable and rebuilding of roll stands overhauling existing rollstands and completing roll replacements as per production plan; completerebuilding of other equipment such as gearboxes and process equipment withinthe workshop requirements

Operate and run corrugation machine for resurfacing roll stands asdirected

Weld and fabrication on parts components and equipment in the fieldwhere applicable

Install and commission new equipment and processes; complete requireddocumentation for food safety requirements

Train and mentor personal where needed; apprentices production andoperational staff

Operate forklift truck and other company equipment; use company truck topick up parts etc.

Understand critical control points (CCP) and Quality Assurancerequirements for food safe standards

Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) while performing job dutiesand tasks

Responsible for compliance with Canada Labour Occupational Health andSafety requirements and company safety standards

Requirments:

Interprovincial/Red Seal: Industrial Millwright (Journeyman)Certification

Minimum 5 years experience

Understanding of GMP food Safety

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Experience working in a combustibledust environment considered and asset

Capable of inspecting and diagnosingprocess problems across various processes

Required to troubleshoot mechanicalrotating conveyor pneumatic equipment and implement corrective action inadherence to all policy and procedure limitations

Strong technical knowledge of mechanical pneumatic rotating equipmentand systems

Proficient in utilizing a ComputerizedMaintenance Management System (CMMS)

Can interpret read and modify andblueprints and drawings

Must be a team player adaptable andeager to take on new or additional duties as needed.

Highly organized with strong planningand problem-solving abilities

Available for shiftwork including afterhours weekends holidays andcall outs as required
