Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Lead new model labor optimization efforts to achieve labor targets through benchmarking (internal and external) target setting tracking process change and replicating across programs/Plants.
- Support the cycle line layout planning process & virtual build events with future model operator allocations and time studies and work with plants to support physical build events & program launches.
- Minimize and/or offset labor impacts through labor blitzes plant tasks/projects and identifying design/process opportunities.
- Assist with operator allocations cycle line layouts plant rebalances line speed changes time studies throughput issues and launch support.
- Accurately maintain and deliver required IE documentation (Labor Glidepath PHM Program 1-Pager Plant Line speed APT Assessment etc.).
- Work with plants to complete & evaluate time studies using MODAPTS as the measurement tool for work standards.
- Collaborate and work closely with manufacturing engineering material handling ergonomics and/or plant personnel. This includes aligning with plant on reported capacity (operating pattern and labor) supporting the get ready capacity statement.
Qualifications
You will have...
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing operations experience.
- 3-5 years of experience with: Capacity/Operating Pattern Labor Launch New Model Planning FPS Ergonomics.
- Knowledge of Time studies setting up workstations line balancing.

Experience:
- Experience with MODAPTS preferred.
- Plant Industrial Engineering & Manufacturing Process operations experience preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel (Advanced) Word PowerPoint etc.).
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skill.
- Adept planning and organizational skills.

The expected annual salary range for this Ford of Canada position is $74000.00 - $124000.00 and individuals may be eligible to participate in our Annual Compensation bonus program.
