Job Responsibilities:
QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY TO DO THE JOB:
- Immediate open position
- Industrial Technologist: $70000 - $90000 annual compensation
- Industrial Engineer: $85000 - #110000 annual compensation
- Graduate of a recognized Engineering program or related technical program at College/University level
- Preference given to those with 3-5 years of related experience in an industrial environment
- Experience in time and motion direct labour measurement
- Experience with product and process flow development
- Experience in PFMEA development.
- Plant layout experience required
- Value Stream Mapping experience preferred
- Must have excellent teambuilding and leadership skills
- Proven understanding of lean manufacturing concepts mechanical equipment and processes
- Excellent organization problem solving and decision making skills
- Must have proven negotiating skills combined with the ability to handle stressful situations professionally
- Must be self-motivated and able to carry projects through to completion
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (English - spoken and written)
- Proficient use of MS Office applications AutoCAD
MAIN DUTIES:
- Measure Analyse and Improve production processes specifically related to product flow
- Develop revise and implement equipment and process layouts
- Develop implement and monitor labour standards for all equipment and processes
- Establish line balance standard through use of MOST and Time study methods
- Develop timing plans for new product / project implementation
- Document processes through process flow diagrams PFMEAs Value Stream Maps Layouts etc.
- Validation / verification of new processes to ensure capability to requirements
- Responsible for Project management
- Develop Lean Manufacturing standards
- Work with production personnel to help implement cost savings and process improvement ideas
- Other duties as assigned
