Compensation: $44.30/hr

Principal Accountabilities

• Read and interpret drawings blueprints schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layouts for industrial electrical equipment installations
  
• Install examine replace repair and maintain electrical wiring receptacles switch boxes conduits feeders fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies lighting fixtures and other electrical components
  
• Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity current voltage and resistance
  
• Maintain repair install and test switchgear transformers switchboard meters regulators and reactors
  
• Maintain repair test and install electrical motors generators alternators uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
  
• Troubleshoot maintain and repair industrial electrical and electronic control systems and related equipment
  
• Perform preventative maintenance activities and maintain accurate maintenance records
  
• Troubleshoot and install fire alarm systems and support construction-related electrical projects
  
• Work with and maintain Allen-Bradley VFDs and 600-volt distribution systems (MCCs)
  
• Ensure compliance with all company safety policies procedures and regulations
  
• Maintain a safe organized and clean work environment
  
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Certified Journeyperson Electrician ticket recognized in Alberta
• Three (3) to five (5) years of electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing industrial environment
• Expertise with Canadian Electrical Code and industrial electrical systems
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining: Allen-Bradley PLCs and VFDs / Motor Control Centers (MCCs) / 600V electrical distribution systems / Electrical motors and control circuits / Hydraulic and pneumatic control systems / Switchgear and transformers
• Experience with fire alarm installation and troubleshooting
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings schematics and technical manuals
• Proficient in electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools
• Strong troubleshooting problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• PLC programming and troubleshooting experience
• Working knowledge of automation systems and industrial networks
• Relevant certifications as Industrial Electrician
• Red Seal ticket
