The HVAC & Gas Technician reporting to the Account Director is responsible for implementing and documenting an effective preventive maintenance program that maintains all systems in a good working condition at the Canadian Forces Base in Petawawa.

Your work will include:  

• Maintenance repair and replacement of residential heating systems
• Maintenance repair and replacement of Air Conditioning Units
• Replacing belts pulleys bearings pump seals and associated assemblies combustion test balancing and adjusting.
• Responding to reactive maintenance calls to equipment and after hour call outs
• Participate in educational programs in-service training and attend meeting as required
• Communicate the work status with the client groups via central call center within the time frame given in response time policy

Qualifications :

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

• Current Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or working towards
• Minimum Class G3. G2 or G1 preferred.  
• Must have a valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a similar position
• Ability to read write and speak English fluently
• Computer literate and familiar with MS word excel and database
• Ability to walk bend stoop balance crawl and reach for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Must be comfortable and able to work on a ladder. Working at Heights. Lifts and roof tops
• Fully vaccinated
