Our Human Resources and Organization Development team work together to grow develop and serve our greatest resource. We are looking to add to our team with the addition of an HR Specialist Talent Acquisition and the supervision of the Manager Organizational Development Operations you will work alongside a team of professionals to navigate a diverse and exciting this role you will lend your talent and be a key driver in the planning implementation and oversight of recruiting benefits employee engagement/recognition and health & order to be successful you will ideally have a degree in a related discipline and 1-2 years experience working within a similar portfolio. As part of the team you will also support numerous other initiatives and programs in our highly collaborative team. Our culture is people-centric and you will be hands-on working directly with our internal and external partners and staff both one-on-one and as part of teams. This is a permanent full-time opportunity based at 100 Ramsey Lake Road Sudbury and is not suitable for remote highlights:Administer and drive recruitment needs/fulfillment across the whole organization make recommendations on best practices for advertising candidate searching Write edit and adjust job postings for a variety of positions Maintain recruitment branding hubs and job boardsOversee employee engagement and administer recognition events programs and platforms; support cross-functional teams in development and execution of similar initiativesWork with the team to maximize employment grant cycles application implementation and reportingCoordinate and administer employee benefits and pension programs respond to concerns and provide information and education Work in conjunction with the Manager of Risk and cross-functional teams to address health and safety needs concerns and initiativesExecutes WSIB reporting and follow-upsConducts or arranges for safety/health related training; maintains records and data base of employee training licenses certificationsSupport staff in navigating necessary HR systems in collaboration with team membersQualifications:A post-secondary degree and/or diploma that lends to the position or equivalent experience1-2 years experience working in the listed portfolio areas Exceptional communication and advanced interpersonal skillsKnowledge and experience with employment standards occupational health and safety and other related legislationDemonstrated aptitude for problem-solving planning and communicating Demonstrated ability to work seamlessly with a large team of stakeholders with a service excellence standardSelf-motivated with ability to work both autonomously and as part of a teamA valid G drivers license in good standing with a 3-year clean driving abstractComputer skills with proficiency in Excel Word PowerPoint and OutlookExperience with HRIS systems considered an assetDont meet every single requirementAt Science North we are dedicated to building a diverse inclusive and authentic workplace so if youre excited about this role but your past experience doesnt align perfectly with every qualification in the job description we encourage you to apply anyways.
