Were partnering confidentially with an established Canadian manufacturer seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join its growing HR team.

This is a hands-on HR role supporting employees and leaders within an active manufacturing environment. Youll gain exposure across recruitment onboarding employee relations benefits payroll support training health & safety HR administration and employee engagement.

Because of the pace and people dynamics of the operation previous HR experience within a manufacturing environment is required.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys being visible accessible organized and closely connected to employees and day-to-day operations.

What Youll Be Doing

Youll support the HR function across the employee lifecycle including:

  • Coordinate recruitment activities including postings candidate screening and interview scheduling

  • Support onboarding and orientation for new employees

  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation

  • Assist employees with benefits-related questions enrollment and changes

  • Coordinate employee training and maintain associated records

  • Support the administration and consistent application of HR policies

  • Assist with employee relations matters workplace concerns and day-to-day HR questions

  • Support temporary workforce scheduling and related payroll administration

  • Verify time and attendance information and assist with payroll data preparation

  • Support workplace health & safety programs documentation and training

  • Coordinate employee engagement wellness and workplace initiatives

  • Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the HR team

The underlying role covers recruitment onboarding records benefits training employee concerns temporary-worker payroll/scheduling health & safety and employee engagement.

What Were Looking For
Required
  • 13 years of HR Coordinator HR Administrator HR Generalist or similar HR experience

  • Previous HR experience within a manufacturing environment required

  • Working knowledge of Ontario employment legislation including the Employment Standards Act Occupational Health and Safety Act and Ontario Human Rights Code

  • Experience supporting multiple areas of the employee lifecycle

  • Exposure to workplace health & safety initiatives

  • Experience working with an HRIS

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision

  • Strong organization and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills

  • Sound judgment when dealing with confidential or sensitive employee information

Strong Assets
  • Experience supporting hourly production skilled-trades or temporary workforces

  • Previous involvement with a Joint Health & Safety Committee

  • Payroll/time-and-attendance exposure

  • Employee relations experience

  • Recruitment and onboarding experience within a manufacturing operation
