Human Resources Business Partner
Job Summary
Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and collaborative Human Resources Business Partner to provide practical HR support to leaders and employees across the organization. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who enjoys building trusted relationships supporting people programs advising on employee matters and contributing to effective workforce solutions in a dynamic business environment. As a Human Resources Advisor you will support a broad range of HR activities including employee relations recruitment support policy interpretation performance processes workforce planning and HR program administration. You will work closely with leaders to understand business needs provide sound guidance and help deliver consistent people-focused solutions.
- Provide HR guidance and support to leaders and employees on employee relations recruitment and retention training compensation job classification coaching and policy interpretation.
- Partner with business stakeholders to support effective people strategies workplace solutions and organizational initiatives.
- Advise managers and employees on HR policies compensation and benefits programs performance processes and employee lifecycle matters.
- Support workforce planning job description development occupational classifications salary scales and competency or appraisal processes.
- Help translate HR strategy into practical consistent and effective solutions aligned with organizational procedures.
- Support change management initiatives including people planning organizational design and efficient job structure recommendations.
- Build strong trusted relationships with leaders and employees by understanding business goals and providing responsive HR support.
- Gather stakeholder feedback to identify service improvements emerging concerns and opportunities for additional support.
- Equip managers with tools and guidance to manage performance attendance career development and other people-related matters.
- Create update and maintain HR templates policies procedures records and shared resources.
- Support initiatives that promote engagement retention and effective people practices.
- Coordinate HR programs and maintain accurate human resources information and related records.
- Support recruitment onboarding performance appraisal programs benefits and health and safety research and other HR initiatives as required.
- Five or more years of related HR experience preferably in an HR generalist or advisory capacity.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in human resources business or a related field.
- Experience with recruitment talent acquisition and applicant tracking systems.
- Strong HR knowledge with experience supporting multi-location or operational business environments.
- Ability to manage a varied and complex workload while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to provide practical solution-oriented guidance.
- CHRP designation is considered an asset.
- Ability to travel occasionally and attend work locations as required.
- Strong attention to detail with analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office especially advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong influencing coaching presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Confident consultative and professional approach to HR advisory work.
- Proven ability to support and deliver HR initiatives.
- Resourceful creative and pragmatic in developing business-focused solutions.
- Collaborative team player who enjoys coaching mentoring and working with others to achieve results.
