Home Support Worker (Part Time)

Provides in-home support and emergency response services to clients in the home support and assisted living environment

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an approved and recognized Personal Support Worker course in Ontario or equivalent

• Current CPR & First Aid Certificate

• Registration with Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) preferred.

• Client-centred care focus with strong customer service and interpersonal skills

• Demonstrated ability to take initiative problem-solve and time manage

• Ability to work independently as well as be an active positive team player

• Computer literacy (MS Office). Basic knowledge of Alayacare Workday an asset.

• Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Screen result

• Ability to communicate in English and Chinese

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

• Considerable standing walking lifting and bending.

• Exposure to all client care elements through regular client contact.

• Shift work including days evenings nights and weekends

• Regular travel within the Greater Toronto and Mississauga area

• Use of own vehicle
