Looking to get the most out of your upcoming internship

Hatch Highways and Bridges group is currently seeking a talentedCo-Op Studentwith interests inHighway CAD Design for the Winter 2027 this role you will be based in our Mississaugaoffice and have the opportunity to work on high profile projects including a variety of highway planning and design assignments being undertaken on behalf of the Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO) or for municipalities throughout the Province of Ontario. Youll also be actively participating and learning drafting work for civil engineering projects that may include roadway geometric design intersections/ interchanges roadside safety analysis design of pavement marking and signage traffic staging design and quantity calculations.

As the successful candidate you will:

• Work with project managers to accomplish various tasks associated with various projects;
• Participation in the highway design projects (including preliminary and detailed design);
• Assistance to project managers and/or engineers with preparation of design and contract documents including technical and other project specifications;
• Prepare reports and document project activities and data;
• Be progressive imaginative and enthusiastic in the work and strive to add value where possible for the benefit of the company and our clients.

You bring to the role:

• Currently enrolled in Civil Engineering Technology or Technician from an accredited College;
• Experience with AutoCAD;
• Working knowledge of Civil 3D MicroStation or Open Roads Designer is an asset;
• Good technical and communication skills are a necessity;
• Positive mindset and ability to collaborate in a team environment;
• Ability to complete assigned tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines.

Compensation:

Range: $24.00 - $27.00

At Hatch we are committed to fair and equitable compensation accordance with legislated pay transparency requirements the expected salary range for this position is based on current market data and aligned with internal pay structures to ensure consistency and fairness.

Your individual compensation within this range will depend on factors such as skills experience qualifications and addition to base pay our total rewards package may include performance-based incentives comprehensive benefits and other programs designed to support your well-being and growth.
